The Whole World Should Look Like This

I went to the Global Winter Wonderland on Saturday and, oh boy, it's beautiful! I think the whole world should look like this.

Front Gate

The whole place is all giant lit-up lanterns!

Open Sesame!

I really like this one:

And here's a close-up of the Chinese girl—I love it, so cool!

This is beautiful. The picture doesn't do it justice.

I'm glad we got there while there was still daylight so we got to see all the colors in natural lighting and lit from within. Very different effects—both wonderful to behold:

I thought this was a nice detail:

They also had the Chinese zodiac and the regular zodiac, too:

Oh and I love the moons with the smiley flowers and stars shooting out of them! GG kept calling them bananas, haha!

I can just stand there look at these trees that change colors for like 10 minutes. As a matter of fact, we almost did, haha!

See?? They change color!

After the Wonderland, both GG and I had the idea to go check out Christmas in the Park since we were already in the South Bay. This is my favorite tree there:

The highlight of the Park was when Blinky, the Park mascot came around to take pictures with everybody. Little kids were literally throwing themselves into his belly, hugging him so freely and happily. It was a joy to experience that energy. I had to get in on it myself!

Here's Blinky on a sign—so cute!

I love glowing lights and colorful decorations. The world should look like Christmas all the time. All the time!

I've Heard It Too Many Times to Ignore It

This is from the first movie. I love how they shot the opening. I'm gonna have to see this one day.

The Rainbow Connection
by Kermit the Frog
Why are there so many songs about rainbows
and what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions
and rainbows have nothing to hide

So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see

Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
when wished on the Morning Star?
Somebody thought of that and someone believed it
Look what it's done so far

What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
and what do we think we might see?

Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
All of us under its spell
We know that it's probably magic

Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same

I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm supposed to be

Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me...
I've been asking the Universe for me to fall in love. I want to feel the feeling again. And I realized last night that I'm in love with the Muppets, haha! Last month I was in love with OMD for like two weeks and now I'm in love with the Muppets. It's not falling in love with a man but it feels the same. The joy is the same. My heart is open. And I said to the Universe, Oh... so this is how it works...

Mahna Mahna

I'm starting to get pretty good at this. It happened for several events and activities that I went to, where I just got a really good feeling about it and it ended up being a lot of fun.

One was the auto show. GG had a free VIP pass and the show was hella fun—I already told you about the turkey leg and I got to drive a Leaf around the track three times!

And a couple of weeks ago, I saw the preview for The Muppets, and I got a really good feeling about it. Plus I like Jason Segel and Amy Adams, so I really wanted to watch it. And it was sooo good!!

I had a bunch of Muppet questions for GG during and after the movie, one of which was about a song, so when we were walking back to the car, he showed me this—it's so funny!

I love the expressions on the girls' faces when the guy sings, especially the part when he walks away—he's in the background and he's still singing! Hahaha!

I love getting these good feelings about things I know little or nothing about. Life is getting more and more fun, hee!

Happy Gobble Gobble!

I am thankful for my Source.

I am thankful for my magic.

I am thankful for the beautiful sunshine on this Thanksgiving Day.

I am thankful for Whole Foods being open till 2 p.m. today.

I am thankful for leftover pancake and syrup and homemade jam from Mama's yesterday. The waitress was so nice—I asked for a small box for the half a pancake and she asked if I wanted syrup and the homemade jam to go, too. They'd never asked that before! So I was like, all right! And she gave me these little containers and I just poured in the syrup and spooned in the jam, because why not?

I am thankful for the Muppets tonight.

I am thankful for winning Bingo (twice!) and Bingo machines (3 times!) and an internet contest.

I am thankful for my new North Face HyVent coat that didn't fit my mom and fits me perfectly so I got to keep it, that's "highly durable and resilient after endless use" and "is suitable for cold-weather expeditions and day-to-day rigors." It was perfect for this morning's rainy trek to the Indigenous Peeps thing on Alcatraz. With my trusty umbrella that I just happened to fix the day before rain started this season (there are no coincidences) and this coat, I was fairly dry, but by the time we got back, GG got soaked through 4 layers of clothing! Haha! It was funny.

I am thankful for free postcards and mailing of postcards at the Jewish museum.

I am thankful for the free VIP pass to the auto show where I came upon a HUGE turkey leg at one of the carving stations.
I exclaimed gleefully, "Turkey leg!"—I do love my dark meat.

The carving lady asked, "Do you want it?"

"Really?"

"Yeah. In fact, I have another one down here." She gestured under the table.
The leg was like a foot long and my plate was half the size. I loved that the Universe was so funny and so generous. I looked over at GG and asked him if he wanted the turkey leg, and he said, "Sure! I'll take it!"

So he took it and the lady busted out the other turkey leg from under the table, and I asked her, "Can you cut off some of the meat for me?" and oh my god, she was so nice! She was all, "Sure! Then you don't have to go all Fred Flintstone on it." Hahaha! When she finished carving off the dark meat for me, I was going to pick just a couple of pieces of white meat off the serving plate for the variety of it, and she said, "Oh, here, let me give you these pieces that are already cut up," and she scooped up all the pieces from the chopping board and piled it on my little plate. I had a mountain of turkey, on top of the other meats from the other carving stations!

GG and I were laughing as we ate, because the abundance of turkey was so ridiculous. "I have hella turkey havingness," he said, and it's true! Because he'd just won a turkey at Bingo two days before! Anyway, I'm thankful for all of that happiness and havingness.

I'm heading out for my Thanksgiving Muppets evening now. Have a wonderful thankful Happy Gobbly Day, everybody!

And oh yeah, I am thankful for Jerry Hicks.

Moonmoon Creates Her Very Own Yahoo Avatar

This is funny. Last night I was updating stuff on the blog, adding things, making little changes, and it was getting pretty late and I was tired but in that zone of doing "just one more thing" before shutting down and going to bed. So finally that last thing turned out to be changing my Yahoo Avatar. I looked through all the outfits and backgrounds and extra things, Ooh! Rainbow with the Emerald City, yeah! and Oh, half a Unicorn! and so on and so forth. I tried out a bunch of different images and this was what I ended up with. Pretty cool, right?

Then I was thinking about updating my About page, so I looked there and check this out:

Moonmoon & Unicorn

They look exactly alike. Totally unintentional. I think Moonmoon took over and made her own Yahoo Avatar! And it's so funny that the Avatar is riding a bike with a Unicorn right next to it, which is practically like riding the Unicorn itself!

So I did update my About page today and I was going to change Moonmoon's picture, too, but since her Avatar looks just like this picture, I'll keep it up a while longer. It's too kooky and too cute.
